Students holding their first place banner

Third through fifth grade GATE students recently competed in the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education MEE Competition. The various rounds involved activities centered around financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and economics. Three teams advanced to the finals held at UCO. The teams had to take a test over economics, create a product via an assembly line, and give a presentation and commercial about an imagined product that expanded the market for glow sticks. One of the fourth grade teams placed first--congratulations! Ms. Horn, GATE teacher, was also honored with the 2024 Edmond Financial Literacy and Economic Educator of the Year award. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
