Artwork in the School

Theses murals adorn the cafeteria walls and various hallways throughout the building.  A team from the University of Central Oklahoma headed by Dr. Palmer were commissioned to create the artwork showcasing our heritage.

Children’s book illustrator Floyd Cooper visited the school and shared about his unique art technique.  Instead of drawing the picture, he erases the picture.  He also drew this picture of our mascot which still hangs in the school.

Through the years, fifth graders have also given back to the school by designing artwork in their weekly art classes.  Below are two examples of their collaborative artwork donated to Chisholm.

Chisholm Elementary was named after Jesse Chisholm and the Chisholm Trail which ran west of Edmond.  Click on the photo to learn  about Jesse Chisholm.

This drawing was donated to Chisholm by a parent and currently hangs in the front entryway of the school.
