Hello, my name is Thomas Higdon, and I’m the principal here at Chisholm Elementary.  I started my career in education in 1997 teaching 8th grade social studies while coaching several sports for Mustang Public Schools.  In 2003, I moved to Edmond and began working as an assistant principal at Cheyenne Middle School. In 2010, I came to Chisholm as an assistant principal and was fortunate to become principal here during the 2011-12 school year. My wife also works as an administrator in Edmond, and we have two children enrolled as students in our district.

My personal mission as an employee of this district and the principal of Chisholm is to work with the students, staff members, and our families to create an environment of collaboration to determine each individual’s path of greatest success.  The educational landscape we are in today is constantly shifting with tighter budget constraints, increased state and federal requirements, and curriculum and technology changes, which will require all stakeholders input as we move forward.  Please don’t hesitate to contact myself or the school with any questions, concerns, or information so that we can best serve the needs of our students.
